Oxbow Bend Panorama
Grand Teton National Park
Some images just have to be viewed large to be truly appreciated!
On a morning with record low temperatures at Oxbow Bend, a mist rises above the Snake River and aspens in peak color shine below Mount Moran, which received a fresh coat of snow the previous night. Two days after this photograph was taken, a blizzard roared through the Tetons and blew all the leaves off these trees.
Field Notes: Sony a900 camera, Sigma 100-300 f4 lens, 15 vertical images stitched together. This is one of the sharpest photos I have ever taken and this image makes a stunning 2 x 10 foot print. Photo © copyright by Brett Deacon.
